The calculator attempts to apply selected federal and state publications for tax year 2026, together with documented assumptions. Source links are provided where practical, but a source may be revised and its transcription, interpretation or implementation here may be incomplete or wrong.

Unless you change the options, the estimate assumes a blank Form W-4 and the standard deduction. It models some state certificates, payroll contributions and Maryland county withholding, but not every local tax, benefit, credit, exemption or employer practice. Mid-year changes, year-to-date withholding, garnishments and other payroll facts can also change the result.

This is an informational calculator, not a payslip, tax return, payroll service or substitute for tax, financial or legal advice. Using it does not create a professional relationship.

Do not rely on an estimate for an important financial decision without comparing it with current official guidance, an employer's payroll information or advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

Rate tables and interpretations change, and data or code can contain mistakes. Suspected errors can be reported to hello@hourlypaycheck.com; reports are reviewed when practical, but a response or correction cannot be guaranteed.

Where shared data or calculation code is corrected, pages that use it are intended to update together. Cached, archived or previously deployed copies may temporarily show an older result.

You are welcome to use the calculators and to link to any page here. You may quote a figure with a link back to the page it came from.

You may not copy the tables wholesale to republish them as your own, and you may not scrape the site in a way that degrades it for other readers.
